I headed over to Central Park yesterday to play with my camera and maybe get some landscape shots. Growing up in New Jersey, I probably should have spent more time in the Park—or any really—but I haven't. So all the little gems that make it fantastic are new to me. I was very stoked to find out things like the below go on in the Park, because it's pretty freakin' amazing!
Seems that these folks gather on a somewhat regular basis (given the choreographed moves) and have the time of their lives just roller skating to club music for our viewing pleasure. And that is awesome.

Well I'll Be...
There aren't many things about my daily commute that make me happy. It's pretty much limited to—if I get to work in less than an hour, it's a good day. But last week, as I sat in traffic near the Kearny Postal Sorting Center, I noticed that there were giant sunflowers growing on the side of the road. This isn't quite the area of New Jersey where it's marshy and people wonder how many bodies may be hidden out there, but it's industrial and definitely not pretty. So the ten or so sunflowers scattered over a half mile on the side of the road were a pleasant little surprise. And that made me happy.
Office Visitors
We had some visitors at work the other day who really wanted to get in. The grass is always greener, I suppose.

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica
Just back from a long overdue, much-needed vacation. With nothing to do for a week but yoga, walk around barefoot, and eat food—I think it's fair to say I am pretty refreshed!

I like this picture because it looks like it's out of the 70's. Hooray for sunsets creating vintage-looking photos! |
